1. It was not an accident.
2. It was not a staffer.
3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

Racism is not an unknowable disease of the heart, it's a provable set of actions and responses. That's why the @nytimes.com can't handle. For them to admit that Trump is racist would mean they'd have to admit they been carrying the water for a racist all these years. They won't ever do that.

If you won’t say this, you should not hold public office
AOC: We are going to have to reckon, as a country, with this time. And I hope that that reckoning includes prosecution of people who are involved with the lawbreaking and human rights violations they are knowingly engaging in right now.

I need people to understand that if you’ve dealt with ice, if you’ve had to worry about you or your kids or neighbors disappearing, if you see the govt giving nazis carte blanche to kill you, every “reform”’ from democrats who currently reject abolition sounds insane. and frankly fucking stupid

Trump and the Republicans are trying to rig the election. That's not being a "doomer," that's acknowledging reality.
Democrats need a coordinated, national response to these coordinated, national attacks. We need an "Elections Czar"

Democrats Need to Get Serious About Stopping Trump From Rigging the Midterms
Here’s one idea for a coordinated response to Trump’s coordinated attacks.

There are two wolves inside of you. They've been watching heated rivalry. It has awakened feelings in both wolves that they've tried to deny. They have a couple drinks one night. Try to laugh it off, spill a beer. Their faces get close as they both reach for a napkin. Their eyes lock. They lean in.

i didn’t realize it was corset stitching- needed more highlighting
As an aside, I find the corset detailing to be very interesting and beautiful, but it didn't appear this way to me when I was watching the Grammys. The detail looked like gold studs on his back. The black string was invisible. Wish it showed up better on camera.

Beautiful speech either way.

I’d love Americans to be asked if they had to have their taxes finance one thing over the other, would they prefer it to be a healthcare system that doesn’t bankrupt them, or ICE.

I’m guessing the numbers might surprise the news media…

News I’m somewhat late to but apparently the Indian Navy built a ship based on a fifth century painting and sailed it to Oman to recreate the trading route of the Indian Ocean in late antiquity.

The ship, which has no engine and moves under square sails, retraced the ancient route in 17 days.

Most people don't realize the truly staggering rate of improvement of renewable technologies - the pace has been *insane* and costs have fallen through the floor.
Ireland has dismantled its first commercial wind farm to make way for a step-change in scale. Each new turbine generates more power than the entire 1992 Bellacorick site, illustrating how 3 decades of innovation have compressed land use while multiplying output. buff.ly/goiabIO
