Can’t say I ever expected to see anger at Sega be the hot topic on Bluesky.

Personally feel there are way too many crossovers in gaming, to the point they are expected and no longer thrilling.
Among Us x Stardew Valley! Terraria x Don’t Starve Together! Balatro x Literally Every Other Game!

You might've noticed more and more indie game collaborations popping up, and wondering how and why they came to be.

Well wonder no more! Innersloth's @victoriatran.bsky.social explains:

What's With All the Indie Game Crossover Collaborations? - Indie Insight
Ever wonder why there seem to be so many indie crossover collaborations? Innersloth's Victoria Tran shares some of the rationale.

Hey, hey! I've made my @rpgsite.net (and game critic) debut with a deeeeeep dive look at a game I've been anticipating for years: @somethingclassic.bsky.social's Quartet.

How does it compare to recent retro revival RPGs like Chained Echoes, Sea of Stars, and Eiyuden Chronicle? Let's find out.
Inspired by RPGs of the '90s, Quartet is Something Classic's proof that they've grown up and become more confident with age, and that there's room for continued growth to match their ambition. Our review: https://www.rpgsite.net/review/18986-quartet-review

I love them both. They were the best possible introduction to Metroid when I was ready to try out the series.
- Metroid Prime (GameCube)
- Metroid Fusion (Game Boy Advance)

Released November 17th, 2002.

23 years ago TODAY!

These are two AWESOME Metroid games that brought Samus Aran back from an 8 YEAR hiatus.

You can't go wrong with either, but play BOTH of them if you haven't.

Trust me.💫

Hard to make a game with generation defining expectations on its shoulders when you're watching colleagues get thrown to the curb.
The Independent Workers' Union has held a second Rockstar Games protest in London.

"The strength of feeling that people show up with to defend their co-workers… is not a thing that Rockstar and Take-Two can ever understand," said the organiser.

The union general secretary called the Rockstar layoffs a "violation of employment law" and said the IWGB is "open to discussions."

Sega is raising the salaries of full-time and incoming employees by approximately 10% in Japan, following a 30-35% raise in 2023.

The company says its aim is "creating an environment in which employees can work with peace of mind amid recent social changes such as rising prices."

Good on Sega JP to recognize the global cost of living challenges and adjust salaries upward for the well being of their employees. Other companies should follow this example.

I thought it was nice that today's Playstation State of Play had a human host in front of the camera throughout. This choice was a big upgrade over the disembodied corporate narrator voice from previous presentations.

An iconic, revolutionary game series whose spirit and contributions to the industry are still near unparalleled.

Entry 2 being in my top 10 games. Here's some fanart I did in the time between 2 and 3.

I recall 2016 Game Awards tickets were included free with PlayStation Experience conference passes taking place the same weekend.

I didn't bother going to TGA. Couldn't imagine dropping $1K+ on it.
Game Awards: We're inviting less press and opening up seats to the public so that we (probably) can have a more engaged, excited audience for the camera and make more money

What the Game Awards thinks the public can afford:
I asked about Game Awards press tickets in October. Got an email yesterday encouraging me to buy my own, as there were no spares.
