If someone comes to your party uninvited, lets one rip in your face, then laughs "You can't undo a fart!" as a defense... that's even *more* reason to kick them out of your house.
“Love it or hate it it’s here to stay” is a crazy thing to keep saying about a technology. If people don’t like using something it doesn’t have to stay we’re not talking about bad weather here

I've often been frustrated with the center-left need to insist leftists shut up and stop criticizing the Democrats and save their ire for MAGA/the GOP, which seems more to me like "stop yelling at that soldier for not shooting back and start yelling at the enemy for shooting at us!"

Hi Senator, excuse me for jumping in, but... while I agree with you that this is really damaging, I couldn't help but notice YOU VOTED FOR THE FREAKING BILL THAT GAVE TRUMP THIS POWER (which some of us warned you not to do).

Kate is exactly right in the piece. Yes the gilded gold and roman column horseshit the right pushes is horrifying to look at, and also there really isn’t a competing viewpoint to challenge it from the left.

Instead, it retreats into “NOT THE EAST WING, THATS WHERE GEORGE WASHINGTON’S GHOST LIVES”

I genuinely do not understand why people are so upset by this.

I've seen some takes suggesting that this was all a marketing stunt and this would not have sold nearly this well if it was on Steam sans controversy. Look, discoverability is fucked, true, but the idea that a dev would forego Steam and Epic on a lark is a ridiculous take.
the good news is that the media attention and support from an audience has helped Horses do well enough that Santa Ragione has been able to pay all its owed royalties and loans. so it's not in debt.

the bad news is it's still not enough to keep the studio together.

A lot of Dems/centrists love to punch to their left, accusing young radicals of being naive, unreasonable, having their head in the clouds etc….

all while maintaining the most childish, unmoored fantasy of what the GOP is or ever was
