Second up: Fernandez? Really? He was an NCAA lifer. While I like his use of international players, I’m not sure of the fit. Plus, Brondello was RIGHT THERE.

I learned that DL have a small number of birds in the desert because they can’t get the seats that they want certified. So now they’re installing a ridiculously Super-sized First Class cabin plus either Delta Premuim or Delta Comfort, then a Coach section in them for now.

Incredibly, Rockets-Thunder is NBC's second-straight regular season NBA game to go double-OT. The last ever regular season game of the original run -- Lakers-Blazers in April '02 -- went 2OT.

Disqualification stays in place, so you still can’t do anything foolish if you’re on the brink of leaving the game, no matter how many OT Periods are played.

This process has always intrigued me. And the level of play seems to get better the longer it goes on.

Basketball OT is crazy, & I played in HS. At every level, 5 Minutes go on the clock and there’s a Jump Ball. The crowd noise is maddening as Regulation or the previous OT Period ends & stays there right up to the tip.

Still tied? 5 more minutes until we’re not tied anymore. A frenzied mini-game.

I and a coworker from Europe got to sit in the second row right behind the Mavs’ bench, with a view of Cuban in the nearby endcourt seats, and Luka and Kyrie on the bench. Club entrance and access. I got the tickets on Stubhub with maybe two hours before tipoff.
