ICE pepper-sprayed this 1-year-old girl.

Once at the hospital, the doctor had to call in a poison control specialist.

They had never seen anyone that young pepper sprayed.

Another horrific story.

More details below.

Also, if you want to show that the data is giving you the wrong TRENDS, asking “is Smith lying?” isn’t even the right question.

It’s “is she lying more in one direction than her predecessor?”

Data w consistent lies accurately reports trends.

Buried under 12 paragraphs and 4 ads is this: that an investigation into the politicization of data was conducted not by … actually reviewing any data … but just by interviewing senior officials who disliked their chief.

So more politics.

The guy who offered a bounty to anyone who could provide proof of Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio eating dogs -- and then offered as evidence a video of Congolese immigrants in Dayton, Ohio eating chicken -- has opinions about the right's "conspiracy, psychodrama, and tabloid conflicts."
It's wild how Chris Rufo openly talks about his own followers like they are the dumbest, most contemptible people alive. Which, fair!

But it says a lot about MAGA psychology that they don't seem to mind.

Another mass shooting, this time at Brown. 2 dead, 8 injured. MAGA & Corporate media waiting to ID the shooter but we know the drill
•Immigrant—> Expand ICE
•Muslim—> Expand Muslim ban
•Black—> Expand prisons & police
•White—> Troubled lone wolf with rough childhood

And still 0 action on gun safety

Another guy DHS put on their "worst of the worst" from the NOLA raids is this guy, who DHS breathily touts as having been ticketed for disturbing the peace and peeing in public.

So yeah, the term "serious offenders" will be stretched long past the breaking point, likely to just mean ever arrested.

So the new reporting is that DHS has decided to go back to a primary focus on targeted enforcement that existed before the late May orders from Stephen Mille to ramp up numbers or else.

Quite frankly, I’ll believe it when I see it. And also at this point the public struggles to tell the difference.

Things we learn:

1. Bovino's existence is the result of chain migration, which MAGA wants to ban

2. His family arrived legally under an immigration law MAGA wants to repeal

3. His father killed a woman while driving drunk, a crime for which MAGA aims to deport immigrants

And much more. Read it.

Any implication that Trump is not the biggest arsehole on the planet is an insult to his image.
WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?

That he has a goddamn heart?

It would “severely intrude on the President’s prerogative to control the image he presents to the public” and force him to “share his platform” with an ASL interpreter."

DOJ argues Trump being made to use sign language interpreters could hurt his ‘image’

I would say 'America: The Paper's Please Country' but they'll tell you to carry your papers, then not bother to look at them when they arrest you for being the wrong colour or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Bovino, the man overseeing mass deportations, publicly declared that we must all have our papers on us, at all times, or we could be stopped, harassed, kidnapped, and detained, as they did with the man in this case, who is a US citizen.

Add to this that HSI just filed a declaration in our case challenging these policies saying they can’t trust REAL IDs as proof of status.

So showing your papers isn’t even enough to end the stop.

When Scalia rewrote the Second Amendment in Heller, I warned that he would have “blood on his hands” from the carnage he was enabling.

The Second Amendment protects a “militia” right, which was the understanding of the courts for 200 years. The “individual right” rewrite is a suicide pact.

For Trump, declining to 36 percent approval is “good news.”

For Biden, holding steady at 41% is “a source of concern.”
