Such a neat adaptation!
1 horror movie every day of October:

I find myself idly wondering if a tat needs to fully heal before you start a cover up, but in that specific circumstance I'd just take my chances!

Hey party people, someone broke in while I was sleeping and stole my laptop. My books are all backed up, thank God, but my renter's insurance has a high deductible and if you like my work I'd appreciate some support right now

Would it be blasphemy to call the gm/storyteller in my ttrpg project "Providence"?
If he can't even recognize a Nazi *symbol* when it's pointed out to him, we can't trust him to recognize Nazi policies either.
And at this point he hasn't even expressed contrition! He's said "nobody ever said it was a Nazi tattoo before now" and said it was ridiculous to think he might be a Nazi, but he's not even admitting it is what it is, much less taking action to address it. Very unsettling
Wow if those landlords would rather collect zero rent than nonzero rent, they must already have more money than they need, and their preferences should be either disregarded or actively opposed when crafting policy.
My groups last big D&D campaign (a decade ago?) had some fun RP moments with a PC not getting along with his NPC dad... But now we're playing a game that mechanically incentivizes family conflicts, and it's great!
"Some of our most fun / most enjoyed / most memorable sessions and experiences have been the ones where we went shopping and improv'd out conversations, or attended festivals and played games, or had a Regency-era ball and played through that" ok! I believe you! Have you considered WHY?

No one needs to dead drop in the middle of the night an envelope that shows that Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries planned Trump's inauguration, a fact that if exposed, would horrify a huge amount of Democrats.

You just have to go to this website where they brag about it!

Honestly not sure the premise can work these days, but I trust Coogler more than most

Many people are outraged that Trump is demolishing part of the White House. But of course Trump can't do it without help. It's ACECO LLC of Silver Spring MD ("full-service demolition") that is tearing down the People's House. You can call them and let them know how you feel. 1/

If someone in the anti-fascist "big tent" keeps saying "well actually the fascists have a point about [X, Y or Z]", I think it makes sense to ask them if they're in the right tent!
Like, is there any plausible reason that the Epstein documents currently being withheld wouldn't also have been in the Federal government's possession for the entirety of Biden's term? What am I missing?
No, I agree with you! I had a lot of mixed feelings at the thing... the hindsight wish for a more aggressive sign occurred *while I was marching*.
In retrospect, my sign should have invited people to come protest at the Broadview ICE facility next.
"life of artist" is the longest copyright term I am willing to accept, and it should also apply to works for hire.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

The main achievement of the tech industry has been increasing the flow of money from people who make or do things to people who already have more money than they could spend in a hundred lifetimes
“Average musician makes $12 a month on Spotify. The fact that they are not even able to sell a record and it’s taken from them by rich motherfuckers on streaming platforms who get paid royally by record labels,Ticketmaster, merch companies. They’re all fucking getting paid, except for the musician.”

Me: I hope this book from 1897 isn't too racist or colonialist.

Book from 1897: ok the first thing to understand about Cairo is that it's crawling with British and American tourists, and not one of those tourists has a single redeeming quality.

I can beat the medievalists! In 61 CE, revolting British natives attacked the Roman colony of Camulodunum (Colchester). In 2015, in a domestic space, archs found the remains of a whole box of coriander as well as fenugreek, poppy seeds, cumin, & other Indian spices. Homesick Roman women made curry.
I'm pretty sure there were Indian spices in England before potatoes.
The British Right are just in total freefall into savagery at this point
