If things don't change, history will see Schumer, Jeffries, Klobuchar and their ilk for what they are: "appeasers," and that tactic will work no better than appeasement did before WW2.
Democrats could act like a real opposition party, refusing to validate Trump malfeasance with votes, and setting up a shadow cabinet that regularly communicates how Democrats would be different. But nah.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

I suspect The Testament of Ann Lee is going to vanish pretty quickly if, as predicted, it strikes out completely with Oscar noms, but it's better than most of the movies still in the race, as well as a better Fastvold/Corbet joint than The Brutalist. (Soundtrack's all bangers, too.)

Nolan could have done something *interesting* in either a historical or fantastic direction. But instead, we get what looks like "Zach Snyder guest-directing an episode of Hercules: the Legendary Journeys but his heart's not really in it"
Anyway, the Odyssey complaints aren't really aquestion of fidelity to the text: it's that the production design looks familiar and boring, when Nolan *could* have either gone with something more overtly weird and fantastical, or have sought inspiration in actual Bronze Age fashions

He should have been impeached as soon as it was safe for congress to reconvene, or failing that, in custody the first night after the end of his first term. The decision not to do either is directly responsible for his current impunity.
