I remember two of my friends in design school who were roomates accuse the other of copying them - when the truth was they both looked at the same magazines, had the same classes and listened to the same music. This is going to happen on a much larger scale with prompts
Maybe this is an unrealistic expectation on my part but if your response to the question of GenAI is anything but "I don't use it and I don't want to use it" I kind of don't give a shit!!!

The fact that the games industry is so dead-set on disregarding Concept Art as being part of the game it helps make is eternally frustrating to me.

If the slop machine extrudes a design for you that you then force an artist to make "real", that still means there's AI generated content in the game.

You want to know what solves "a lack of ideas?" Or "not enough new IP?" Or even "becoming a skilled artist?" Solving income inequality
I don't want an LLM to emable my creativity, I want a cheaper version of photoshop I don't have to rent, a word processor and universal basic income

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone

- tech is now more expensive
- you cannot trust most media of reality anymore
- programs barely function
- energy prices
- literal psychosis
- your voice can be literally stolen for evil
- more spyware

but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.

I keep thinking about all of the people who were NOT hired as part of this exercise. All the real world production crew. The actors. The caterers supporting real world shoots. So many people with real skills not being paid. So. Many. Creative. People. Not. Being. Paid.

Imagine taking more time than it would take to do something traditionally. I bet it would take a builder longer to build a house out of jelly instead of brick, because jelly isn't brick.

The absolute funniest thing happened with one of my readers and I can't even talk about it much because it might spoil something. This comes a little while after a reader asked me about a plot detail that also would be a major spoiler but did so in a way that I really don't want to brush off.

I think the real question it raises is how useful CEOs truly are
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Just a reminder to leave a rating/review on all the games you’re picking up in these sales.

Taking two seconds to leave a 5 star rating can and will help that creator immensely.

That one rating you leave could be the tipping point in the algorithm that gets that game seen by far, far more people.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.
