Since this survey was conducted while I still fit in the 18-29 bracket, I think it makes sense that zillennials and younger have a pretty high openness to at least heteroflexibility. And that's just the ones admitting it!

I'm becoming convinced that most emergent problems in the US and other wealthy democracies stem from extreme decadence in the face unlimited plenty and security.

The rich are bored, lawyers play word games all day, the average American has no idea how anything works. We're destroying ourselves.

When we talk about how we will never lose our history now that everything goes on the internet, I don't think that's true.
Did you know that, according to a recent study by the Pew Research Center, 38% of webpages that existed in 2013 are no longer accessible?
When Online Content Disappears
A quarter of all webpages that existed at one point between 2013 and 2023 are no longer accessible.

Declaring your political system is safe from authoritarianism folly. Authoritarians by their natures do not respect institutions, exploit any opening, and backstop power. "You can't do that!" "I just did." Congress refuses to guard it's authority. There is no iron law of physics to prevent Hitler.
I think people who say “ah, but OUR system is structurally protected from authoritarianism” are severely tempting fate. But it’s really neither here nor there: the question isn’t which system is resistant to our authoritarian moment by why it’s happening at all. And the US is not distinct in that.
The president has seized power from Congress. Literally an authoritarian take over. There is not a slide towards authoritarianism in the UK. There is a shift to hard right parties within the existing electoral system which is a totally different phenomenon.
