I missed the news that Freeland is off to the UK for a new job, and I'm not sure if I'm small and provincial to think it's not good for the Liberals that they attract a type of "star candidate" who only wants to be in the country if they get to be PM (c.f. Ignatieff, M. and, just maybe Carney, M.)
