Okay so this is obviously a guess, but I think Nova's mystery cancer might be salivary gland tissue.
It looks to be in the right spot, would explain all the fluid, and seems to be incredibly rare, which would be why nobody has ever seen this before.
We'll find out Tuesday.

did a Probably Stupid and developed my own simple Javascript library for creating HTML elements. basically it creates JSON for me that gets fed through a loop and builds a webpage.
it has some known flaws but i'll deal them later, i wanna finish this website so i can do literally anything else

Nova's weird neck mass went from 2.5cm on Friday to 4cm today, so uh. we're seeing a specialist on Saturday.
honestly my hopes aren't very high.
best case is the whole thing just pops out in one big chunk and we don't have to worry about it ever again, whatever it is. but that won't happen.

i just recently added Violet to the cage. Violet is the one who's been severely neglected and housed alone her entire life. She is somewhere between 1-1.5 years old. We got her from a rescue in December.

Pet rat might have a rapidly growing cancer that's only ever been seen in one specific strain of laboratory rat before and that has never occurred in pets and i am going to scream if her biopsy tomorrow comes back positive.
She did not have any tumors at all on the 5th of this month
