Joe Biden was a good President who did good things, and Kamala Harris would’ve been even better.

Here: politics, baseball, Tolkien memes. Sometimes in that order.

Also lets be real. The ONLY reason these white people on here are freaking out is because they never expected their "I hate Dems, make them lose" antics to end up where THEY are out here getting killed. They all expected it to only affect Black and Hispanic people not them.

80% of all "Trump said a thing" stories get framed as Trump "shifting" a previous position because journos still do not understand that Trump is (1) a bullshit artist (2) with dementia who neither remembers nor cares what his past positions were. It's all in the 'now'. Tomorrow it will change again!

If you think this list of demands equals capitulation I'm left with no choice but to believe you would rather Chuck Schumer just stand on the Senate floor screaming "ABOLISH ICE! ABOLISH ICE! ABOLISH ICE!" until magically Trump isn't President anymore.
SENATE AND HOUSE DEMOCRATS ARE UNITED ON REINING IN THE ABUSES OF ICE

Americans have watched in horror as ICE has terrorized communities across the country

Federal agents can’t continue to cause chaos in our cities while more Americans are killed

We must rein in ICE

Here’s what we're demanding:

Which one is funnier:

All the people who confidently angrily shared posts anonymously sourced from “trust me, bro, fuck Dems” claiming “softening” of demands

or

All the people rushing to move the goalposts now

(the answer is neither, neither is funny and both are wreckers who support fascism)

Schumer and Jeffries present their list to Republican leaders, "laying out clear legislative actions to rein in ICE and stop the violence."

They also called for "fully ramping down the surge in Minnesota and removing Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem from her position."

Then those dudes had absolutely failed as political analysts if they couldn't tell a well known con man was conning them. Hayes is born and raised in NYC, he has NO excuse for knowing Trump was full of shit.

A lot of us knew better. So why does he get a political pundit show? He failed.

I said it recently, but I've noticed that the debates of the last decade of whether or not to treat wreckers as acting in good faith have completely vanished. Everyone I used to see insisting we had to give them the presumption of good faith has completely given up and gotten sick of their shit.
Frankly, thank *god* they attempted this publicly with both Stancil *and* the dumpster fire Discourse.

It's allowed so many people who were formerly a part of these cult-like control groups to break out of them and finally admit to themselves "hey, maybe these people are acting in bad faith?"
the ostensible facts with which it is ostensibly concerned at any given moment are a dream-logic spun-sugar cake-topper, it's about getting the people you don't like to bow to you and accept your model of reality as correct

it’s even dumber than that; musk or zuckerberg or bezos or whoever could pay work crews in every city to design and build monuments to them on 24/7/365 shifts if the monuments were what the wanted. what they want is for people to *want* to do it
They want the subalterns to build statues of them in the desert so that in the future the mighty may look upon them and despair.

NEW: Abigail Spanberger this afternoon ordered that all state agencies leave ICE's 287(g) program.

This means that the state police (and some other agencies) will no longer be empowered to detain and arrest people for ICE.

Big, big move by the governor within weeks of coming into office.

Abigail Spanberger left the 287(g) program, which empowered state law enforcement to detain immigrants. Will Democrats also bar local police and sheriffs from the program?

This is why I think the Mamdani stuff is actually potentially harmful. This thing they are celebrating is a law that was passed by normal means, by politicians these people most likely hate. They think the government is just what the heroic executive decides to get up and do that morning
I think the screenshot is about pay for delivery workers and that law was passed in the Adams admin

Two reasons for this:
1 - It's easier to tamper with a handful of polling stations than hundreds or thousands of them.
2 - The weaker Trump looks politically, the harder it's going to be for him to convince state officials and MoCs to join him in a criminal conspiracy.
From the perspective of what us average schmucks can do, I genuinely think the best defense against any attempt to overturn the election is getting that margin up as high as possible.
February 4, 2026 at 11:24 PM
I dunno, it's kind of a cliché to have a mayor photographed symbolically "out there working for the people". Usually it's filling in a pothole or whatever, but this is the same genre and you can find tons and tons of politicians who do it and don't get the fawning Mamdani gets.

Biden did a nationwide tour to places that were getting investment and jobs from IRA, CHIPS, etc.

The fact that you don't know he did, and assume he didn't, says a lot about how we really got here, and has more to do with you and your media diet than with him.
