Not that I know very well what I'm doing as a newbie photographer, but I really do like the mood in these, grain and all.

Black and white photo: Leaning against a fire hydrant on a suburban street is a child's tiny plastic tricycle, except it has two front wheels, making it a quadcycle? Its logo on the bar under the seat is the word, "Sports", in cursive.

Kissinger's ghost must be furious at finding out he was mistaken for someone with integrity or any concern for ethical standards

The chairman of the Nobel Peace Prize confirms that Donald Trump does not meet the moral and ethical standards associated with the award, citing a lack of courage and integrity a trait that defines MAGA.

Happy 130th birthday, Buster Keaton!

As well as being a genius, he was a cat lover. Of course. ♥️ #Caturday

Just in time for spooky season, Samuel Beckett's newest work appears from beyond the grave!

TFW you paid $1400 to see Beckett’s most famous work without knowing anything about it
One Star Review of Waiting for Godot on Broadway
I recently attended Waiting for Godot on Broadway and spent over $1,400 for two Row C seats (103 and 104). I'm a longtime admirer of Broadway productions and even hold a season pass for Shea's Performing Arts Theatre, so I came in with genuine enthusiasm and high expectations. Unfortunately, this show was unlike anything ! have ever experienced —and not in a good way.
What I encountered was not the artistry, music, or emotional storytelling I usually associate with Broadway, but instead what felt like an endless cycle of nonsensical conversation between characters who seemed trapped in their own madness. I tried-truly tried-to find meaning, symbolism, or even a thread of emotional resonance. I stayed through the first half hoping the second would offer clarity. But by intermission, it was clear: this was a waste of both time and money.
Keanu Reeves is an actor I respect greatly, but I cannot fathom why he would agree to participate in such a disjointed, inaccessible production. His talent was lost in a performance that defied reason rather than provoked insight.
To anyone considering attending: unless you are drawn to highly abstract, nearly incomprehensible theater, I strongly caution you against this show. For the average, educated, thoughtful theatergoer, it is far more frustrating than fulfilling. In my opinion, this was the single most disappointing Broadway experience I've ever had - an unfortunate waste of money and, more importantly, of time.

Love to be alive during the era of No, Actually They're Not A Dada Poet, They're Riffing On The News
Screenshot showing two posts on Bluesky. First post says, "*smacks my placenta* you can fit soooo many babies in this thing pal.
Second post: "Who up having babies in their placenta" is a quote post of an article headlined "RFK Jr. Complains About Tik Tok Video of Woman Taking Tylenol With a 'Baby in Her Placenta'."

Trying to nail the exposure in sun-dappled shade, and so far only succeeding in staying true to my abstract expressionist roots, out here in the Franz Kline Forest.
Black and white photo: bright sun lights up foliage here and there, amid dark black silhouettes of tree trunks and angled branches in high contrast, somewhat like a painting by Franz Kline.

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵
