Better late than never to see the UK start to clean up their Russian mess. Also gives hope that other countries can at some point too.

While the focus is often on short-term price drivers in #crude markets, there are two longer-term trends that will shape flows. The first is the gain in supply is from the Americas but demand growth is in Asia. The second is the rising politicisation of oil markets. www.reuters.com/markets/comm...
Crude oil to be driven longer-term by supply-demand mismatch, geopolitics
The global crude oil market is facing two long-term fundamental shifts that will change how cargoes flow around the world and how they are priced.

OPEC+'s group of eight further unwound their #crude output cuts, adding another 411,000 bpd for July. But there are two questions to be answered, will they actually add that much #oil back, and if they do, are there buyers, given imports slipped in Asia in May. #OPEC www.reuters.com/business/ene...
OPEC+'s crude output hike comes amid tepid Asian oil demand: Russell
The crude oil market devotes considerable energy to what OPEC+ says, but perhaps a little less to what it actually does when it comes to the supply of the world's most important commodity.

Seven, most likely Russian #drones were seen over a German police boat in the North Sea in May, Spiegel reports. As usual, very little is known as the drones weren’t shot down and just eventually flew away.

Two main foundations investment in the 1) domestic supply chain and 2) R&D 2020-2025.

The core industries covered by the plan are expected to source 40% of all “core” inputs domestically by 2020 and over 70% by 2025.

Iif China’s economy is suffering under the weight of U.S. tariffs, why is #ironore, the commodity most exposed to China, performing relatively strongly from both a price and import volume perspective? It’s likely that some #steel sectors are still doing OK. #metals www.reuters.com/markets/comm...
Iron ore tells a different story to the China tariff pain narrative: Russell
Concern is mounting over just how big a hit the Chinese economy is going to take from the massive tariffs imposed by the United States, but so far the commodity most at risk is seemingly unaffected.

The reasons OPEC+ put forward for further easing its #crude output curbs don’t match reality, with the market far from “healthy” with demand yet to feel the full impact of Trump’s tariff war. Visible #oil inventories are also only slightly below 5-year averages. #OPEC www.reuters.com/markets/comm...
OPEC+'s 'healthy' crude oil market looks like catching a cold: Russell
If there is one thing that is almost certain in the current global crude oil market, it's that the stated reasons for the OPEC+ group of exporters increasing supply are not the real reasons.

US just lost about 10% of commercial fuel/petro logistic capabilities. To an incident that has some quite glaring qualities.

I don't often say BREAKING, but this qualifies.
STENA IMMACULATE was ~10% of the capacity of the Tanker Security Program, a program instated just over a year ago designed to secure capacity to supply fuel to US armed forces in times of conflict.

STENA IMMACULATE was one of 10 ships, she is no more and hence the US DOD fuel autonomy just shrank.
The M/V Stena Immaculate, hit today in the North Sea while at anchor by Portuguese flagged cargo vessel SOLONG, carried fluid cargo for the U.S. Department of Defense, substantiating earlier reporting that responders on scene had reported jet fuel as an accelerant.
