Fascism doesn't win through hearts and minds, it wins through a culture coup across all media. Not one ounce of fair fight or integrity. Just deceit and underhanded tactics. It's a very dark time.

And the word for gutter racists who make actual threats based on their bigotry is "terrorists."
There's gotta be a word for a stong condemnation of people who engage in gutter racism and fly off the handle making threats because of a flag... hmmm what could it be? Might be too dangerous to use it though, the people doing this deplorable... oh wait there it is
A small school district in Vermont was hit with racist and threatening calls and messages after a Somali flag was put up a week ago in response to President Donald Trump referring to Minnesota’s Somali community as “garbage.” https://to.pbs.org/44q6n6P

Apparently it's ice dam season. It's probably too late now, but if you have a roof you need to maintain, next year consider heat tape for your roof.

Yet another lawless act by the most corrupt president in American history that would dominate news cycles if it weren't Trump. Yet another reason to impeach Trump that would sink any other president if his party wasn't a cult.
NEW: Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser (D) says Colorado will not release Tina Peters after President Trump announced he is pardoning her state-level convictions.

"This is a lawless act. It's an act of intimidation," Weiser said. "It has no basis in the American law."

For right-wing authoritarians, the First Amendment is nothing more than a weapon to be used against their enemies. The idea of free expression and criticism is an obscenity to them.
SCOOP: The Trump administration may revoke the visas of critics of Elon Musk's Twitter.

The move would mark one of the admin's first attempts to revoke the visas of people they deem to be engaging in the “censorship” of Americans.

Trump officials are considering revoking the visas of former European Union Commissioner Thierry Breton and Imran Ahmed, of the Center for Countering Digital Hate.

How the fuck does a legitimate government in the United States say the phrase "Native American" is banned from any program, let alone a program that in some places is run by Native Americans on Native American reservations?

Answer: That government is not legitimate.
Banned words list has real consequences.
A Head Start program operated by a tribe on a Native American reservation was told not to prioritize tribal kids, in clear violation of Head Start Act. The program director also can’t do training on trauma-informed instruction, or to support kids with autism.

If more people with power were being screamed at 24/7, we could fix this country.
Roger Marshall: "We want patients to become consumers again. We want patients to see what the actual prices are. We believe that if we would add the price tags to this bill, that it would save the country a trillion dollars a year."

Is heat tape for ice dams not a common thing? I don't have a roof to maintain, but if I did I'm pretty sure that would be my first purchase.
Two things I noticed on my morning walk:
1. The number and size of the ice dams and icicles for this time of year is shocking. Gonna be a lot of roof repairs in the spring if this keeps up.
2. People aren't shoveling out their cans and the city is not collecting as a result.

Brewster's Millions should have been required watching as a cautionary tale for society.
If you make a billion dollars — or $500 million or even $100 million dollars — and you keep trying to make more, then there is something seriously wrong with you. It's a mental illness akin to hoarding or drug addiction.

This has a parallel. Into the 2000s, police in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan would take Indigenous folks they found outside late at night on "starlight tours," driving them beyond the city limits, and dumping them there. They'd often freeze to death trying to get home.

It's like he's trying to convince his followers to actually accept the stuff he's railing against by saying the stupidest shit about it as often as possible, but it's actually just a huge cult so they'll just keep cheering him forever. And that's not actually what he's trying to do either.

The US government is illegitimate.
ICE detain U.S. citizen for looking Somali—use illegal chokehold to tackle him to ground.

Man repeatedly begs agents to look at his digital passport ID—they refuse.

Drove him 7 miles away before releasing him alone into Minnesota snow storm—told him to "walk home" in freezing weather advisory.
