People are very gullible about software pretending to be human. An AI scientist back in the 60s wrote a simple program that pretended to be a therapist, while knowing nothing at all about people, just some basic English rules.

1. Historically, eugenics was not a pseudoscience. It was *science* Almost every scientist, social scientist, academic, etc. believed in the validity of eugenics. You would have to search far & wide to find a scientist that didn't believe in some form of it. They taught it in college!

It is a scientific fact that cats cannot be herded. In a situation like this, some poor fool MUST risk their life tackling the cat to the ground, & wrapping it in a towel to get it into the cat-carrier for the vet visit.
Marvin had a vet appointment scheduled this morning and I straight up couldn’t catch him by myself. It’s a two person job. I literally need a cat herder.

If you want to create an AI that cares about human life, bring it up kindly. If you want to create an AI that will destroy humanity, bring it up the same way that Elon Musk treats his children.
So, I'm a hardcore tech (electronics & programming) person going back to the late 70's, & I'm strongly of the opinion that the only way to create a true human-like AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) is to link a huge neural network system into a robot, & basically bring it up like a child.
Anyone who thinks AI could become a human needs to spend time in creative play with a 4 year old. Their natural creative self expression can only be mimicked at best, I’m certain.

Okay, I get that AI is a threat for so many reasons but the fact that one AI could take over as a superpower is not the biggest threat.

The fear of someone's life being made moderately easier by accident has prevented us from making a lot of peoples lives livable on purpose.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.
