I base this on, among other things, the number of cases I have known of US business leaders, marine embassy guards, diplomats, etc, etc, who are *very explicitly and repeatedly told* that young Chinese women who express a sudden interest in them are not sincere, and fall for it anyway.

My personal take on this is that, while some of the difference can be attributed to libido, the majority of it is that men do not internalize sex as dangerous to themselves. “is this safe for me” never crosses their minds.
