No. What people on the left need to see is journalists informing the public rather than performing press release as a service.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

Former top venatori members leaving us to support the Veilguard is NOT a sign of poor leadership. Elgar'nan still holds 87% approval. They're just weak and lack conviction.

I could remove every speck of risque imagery/topics from my community and there's still a 50% chance we'd get flagged just because we're openly queer.

It's not actually about the kids.

The function of consumer-facing "A.i." is to enrich billionaires by deploying faux sci fi woo woo bullshit to normalize crappy, dangerous products that worsen and sometimes even end people's lives.

Institute the corporate death sentence for all companies that injure and kill people with this trash.

This was the biggest illustration I took on last year, and working with everyone on the project was such a special experience. I'm so grateful I was able to be a part of it!

Does anyone else have an MST3K line they use regularly, even if it makes no sense out of context?

Because I have both "That'll keep your panfish down for a while." and "Come come, boys, we must confound Jerry at every turn!" from MST3K the movie alone.

Nigel Kneale's Murrain (1975) is a #folkhorror classic about the clash between science & superstition in a remote English village. Is Mrs Clemson a lonely outsider or something more sinister? Ambiguous & unsettling, it remains shocking over 50 years later.

Based on what I’ve seen, Gothic films feel like “oh they got money”
