What’s the worst question someone can ask after you tell them your profession? For linguists, it’s definitely “how many languages do you speak?”, but I’m curious what else is happening to the rest of y’all out there?!

So true 😂 they did not survive without this shit. They just were sick CONSTANTLY and then DIED.

Yeah so many comics have teams. So much art work has teams of people. That's why I like when everyone is credited. The thing is, even when the main people are credited, there are probably some more people that still aren't credited.
so to have all that work put on to ONE person is a LOT to ask. You have to be your inker, colorist, and editor all at once. That. Is a lot of work.

in the comic industry has a group of people usually working on it. At the minimum you have an inker and a colorist and even then its a lot of work even when split up. People just don't ever think about the labor in the creation of art.

if you're one person making a comic by yourself, don't treat yourself like you should function on the same level as comics that have multiple people working on them. your backgrounds can be squiggles and colors.

Well... I just (30 minutes ago) finished writing chapter 8. Only one more chapter left. It's my webcomic I started in college. This has taken way longer than I thought it would. But, I like having it around so I have something to keep me thinking about comics. Even though covid exploded my life.
Imagine being a Vanderbilt and ur family's name is on this lmfaoooo. I'm thinking about uhhh Anderson Cooper. LOL. imagine ur family is the butt of THIS gilded age political cartoon. Wild.
