You don't actually arrest someone over something like this. You just take care of it.
a snapshot of a fraction of a ghost of a whisper.

Apropos absolutely nothing else during an era of unprecedented authoritarian creep in the United States it does not strike me as good that the Senate Leader of the opposition party has devoted a significant amount of his time and political capital to defending a foreign apartheid regime's image.
it is so abundantly clear that mamdani's position on palestine is what is driving schumer up the wall. it's kind of pathetic at this point.

not even the diehards that still defended the game when it came out liked that shit, either

maine is beautiful. it gets less beautiful when you learn to recognize japanese knotweed
sometimes my brain will ask me fun questions like, "why are trees shaped like that" and then it will give fun answers like "because the kudzu hasn't swallowed them yet"
I did grow up firmly in kudzu territory, which feels like it fills a similar niche, imo, in terms of permanent ontological damage

I agree with the thrust; it makes me think about how old Zelda games would lose something if they decided players pressing confirm was too much friction. Another thing where you gotta weigh your 1st hour vs your 100th.

its so funny that so much of our government is just held up by gentlemens promises and you can just do insane stuff because nobody thought about it before.

Like "the president can demolish large sections of the white house because he just didn't staff the approval committee" should not be true.
There's a committee that's supposed to approve all significant changes.

Trump just didn't bother appointing anyone to it, so it currently does not exist.

He also did not consult with the building's owners...the National Park Service.

This is being a little late to the news, but this is due to pressure from #StopKillingGames early on while the European Citizens' Initiative was launching in 2024, due to fears from Ubisoft that we would succeed

been reading a lot of medieval English history recently and it's instructive as to why the Anglo political tradition evolved away from monarchy. every 4th king or so would turn out to be a murderous lunatic, people got sick of it
it is kind of interesting how not only do they openly yearn for monarchy, but they also want a system of monarchy more absolute than almost any of the historical reference points where the president can tax, spend, declare war, even suspend habeas corpus at will
Johnson blames the No Kings protests. Says “it is quite ironic.” Johnson says “if President Trump was a king” the government would be open.

"Fresh", sealed copies of Super Mario RPG actually have a unique title screen. This screen is lost permanently on that cartridge after playing and saving just once, and can not be restored without tinkering with the cartridge or waiting decades for the save battery to run out.

it's weird how rich guys will happily pour billions into argentina bailouts and white house ballrooms and all kinds of government priorities but if you suggest that they should be taxed more that's violence

substance abuse is a significantly underreported driver of this administration's behavior
just like last time, we are gonna learn that everyone in this admin was fucked up on the job at all times

this is $27,500/year; or 3,807 hours worked at $7.25/hr, the federal minimum wage; you would have to work 96 weeks at 40hrs/week to pay for this, assuming there is no withholding for taxes. there are 52 weeks in a year.
Just receieved this today from Florida Blue. This is for a Bronze plan. Our monthly premiums are going from $333 (2025) to $2300 in 2026.

it is very bad that cynicism is the default mode of U.S. political reporting and that institutions teach young reporters that it's wisdom.
