I don't know, Aaron. I think we need to take this seriously. In fact, after surveying hundreds of years of history in the past few days, I've written an article assessing the originalist case here:

It is international law 101 that a military blockade is not just a violation of the UN Charter, but a crime of aggression.

Unless that blockade is in response to an 'armed attack.'

None of President's Trump's list of complaints come close to an armed attack.

AOC: Donald Trump and Stephen Miller want you to believe that this is who we are as a country. And we are here to say that it is not. We are a country that has fought and defeated the confederacy. That has defeated a history of civil rights violations, of secret police, of fascism.

More on Bill Burr via @nsarchive.bsky.social. What a hero. When Kissinger stole his files rather than giving them to the archives, Burr found copies elsewhere and made them publicly available.

It’s never a good sign when the United States’ national security plan is praised by Russia as being “largely consistent with our vision”…

In Memoriam: Bill Burr

The obituary is from Richard Immerman.

Oh my. News of Bill Burr's death is a gut punch to all who knew him & everyone who relies on declassified US national security records. Once called the Yoda of FOIA, he always had a sparkle in his eyes. All who care about government transparency will continue to benefit from his contributions.
