Labour have had to make some tough decisions in the first 12 months or so, but now we are starting to see why those decisions had to be made. Starmer,as always,is playing the long game and has a vision of where he wants the UK to be in 3 YEARS time not 3 WEEKS, which is what many think is possible.

Homes England has awarded a £23m infrastructure grant in latest step towards unlocking wide-scale regeneration in Thamesmead.

Funding a new bus link, it is part of wider plans for up to 30k new homes & 2 new communities at Thamesmead Waterfront & Beckton Riverside, which includes the DLR extension.

Who benefits from changes made in this budget?

Low-income families with children, particularly with three or more children, are clear winners.

In 2028-29, a low-wage single parent with 3 children who receives UC will be £4,960 per year better off, thanks to the removal of the two-child limit.

The Browns are a family of two. Mr Brown is raising his daughter while working part-time on the National Living Wage.

They live in the North-West and he drives an EV. His income puts them in the fourth income decile.

As a result of changes announced in the Budget, they will be better off by: £4,960

The Labour government have granted permission for the creation of another off-shore windfarm.

This one is the Morecambe Offshore Windfarm in the Irish Sea.

It is expected to have a capacity of 480MW - equivalent of over half a million homes.

This week Nathan Gill, Reform UK’s Leader in Wales will be sentenced for 8 charges of Russian bribes.

Here’s Farage calling him an “honest, decent and honourable man”.

Let’s not forget that whilst he was taking the bribes, Farage was making similar pro-Russian speeches in the European Parliament.

But surely you should make that clear in the article?

Because in time when so many journalists are clearly politicised then the public need to be able to trust journalists and their sources

So seems Labour’s budget plans have changed because the OBR forecasts have improved e.g. the U.K. economy has improved.

I'm supportive of this govt because I'm a Labour member who believes in its aims & acknowledges its achievements, as well as its mistakes. I don't change my loyalties easily.
Plus it's the best option out there.

New today: Labour have cut waiting lists by 16,000 this month – meaning faster care and less worry for patients.

The past year is the first time in 15 years that waiting lists have fallen.

There's a way to go, but Labour are getting our NHS on the road to recovery.

The good thing about u-turning on tax rises before you ever do them is you get most of the popularity for considering the hike, some bonus popularity for looking incompetent and indecisive, AND none of the revenue
