I know, I’ve been told I need to swap Silver Wolf in for Ruan Mei if she ever gets rerun (have mercy on a poor newbie) but it does make me happy how color-coordinated my team is right now.

Whenever I think about my ideal version of the Joker, I always come back to "Someone that would think it's perfectly reasonable to copyright fish, and then get so frustrated when it fails that he decides to commit multiple murders."
The Batman: The Animated Series episode "The Laughing Fish" debuted this day (Jan. 10) in 1993. Based on the classic 1970s Detective Comics tale by Dennis O'Neil and Steve Englehart, this top-shelf episode sees The Joker trying to copyright his Joker-ized fish! #BatmanTAS #Batman

As I near the end of Wind and Truth, I have to admit to one little gripe about Stormlight: The dialogue surrounding mental health *can* be rather ham-fisted. Maybe it was always like this and I was just too excited about representation to care, but, uh ... A bit of subtlety would not go amiss. :/

Had a bit of a false start due to Hell Week (migraine shot wearing off just as the worst depression in like two months hit) but finally back on track knocking out the IRL dailies. I *will* actually live this year, not just exist.

Having worked at a video rental store in ~2008, I can vouch for being able to watch the term "VCR" largely disappear, in real time, from the collective conscious of society.

We still offered to rent out tapes (had an old archive in the back), for things we didn't have on DVD, so I got to see...
As whatever kind of technological historian I am, the reason it's important to me to keep the term VCR alive is that these devices could record TV shows.

Home video was not simply relegated to renting movies or purchasing your own tapes to build a library. You could record stuff from TV.
