Getting absolutely destroyed in the last quarter on this year on unexpected bills. Thousands on cars and dog. Absolutely brutal. If you are an unknown relative of mine and you're about to cark it, pop me in your will would you?

And if people do put x's they're most likely to use two! Vital piece of information there.

Zarah Sultana has done nothing to convince me she's a capable politician. Similar foibles to Corbyn on a foreign policy level. Just seemingly clueless
We take no joy criticising a young left-wing UK political figure who has often spoken up for workers' rights and progressive causes. But these barely coherent comments from Zarah Sultana on Ukraine sum up much of what is wrong with her wing of the left www.instagram.com/reel/DQT62ys...

Think we’ve crossed a pretty major threshold – and a very bad one – if a journalist working in the lobby for a major newspaper group can tweet like this without professional consequences.
A mainstream “journalist” calling for a British MP to be deported. Is it because I’m Muslim? Next time, just say it with your chest.

Why does this tax exile 'foreigner' think our government should discuss policy with him? He should feck off back to Monaco. Made his choice based on his own interest, to avoid tax. Anything he has to say will be only in his own interests, again.

Yeah this was really poor from the BBC. It's is to be accurate above all else and throwing a writer under the bus is shit behaviour, the producers should take the blame on this one.
hmmmmmmmmmmm

surely the point of being a digital native and being Online is to be able to sniff out stuff like this

not sure the BBC gets to put this on our people
NEW: A false claim about Euan Blair found its way into Have I Got News For You.

It was from an X post seen almost 3m times - and it was wrong.

Production chief blames a "digital native" culture.

Wow. Robert Jenrick doubles down by branding a black journalist's questions "ridiculous" and saying that the problem is not his comments, but "journalists like you who pop up and try to knock me down", adding that "this is the reason why terrorist attacks happen". ~AA

Literally learning nothing from the welfare cuts. Do we have to watch the same thing happen again? Surely they can't be that thick? I mean, we all watched Johnson constantly marching his MPs up the hill before reversing and *surely* someone in the cabinet will point out that this will be the same?
Labour MPs who voted against welfare cuts this summer have warned that plans to change disability benefit assessments could trigger another mass rebellion

Others called for a vote to be delayed until a review into the assessments is complete

By me, for Big Issue: www.bigissue.com/news/social-...
Labour faces another mass rebellion over reforms to universal credit
Welfare secretary Pat McFadden plans further reforms to the benefits system, expected to include abolishing the work capability assessment.

Everything I hear about Glasman makes me question what he's actually doing in a nominally left wing party.

Also he's clearly fundamentally very, very stupid
In the WTAF department: Labour peer Lord Glasman has personally apologised to Farage for Starmer’s statement that Farage is a racist.

“I’m ashamed. It’s a disgrace.”

He went on Farage’s own GB News show.

Glasman is the architect of Blue Labour, the ultra-conservative Labour pressure group.

Come on mate this is bollocks. Reform is a racist party and if you support them in the full knowledge of that, then you're a racist. You don't fight racism by ignoring it!
You won't stop Reform by calling their supporters racist

It is possible to cherish the BBC as an institution while also saying that BBC News is failing very badly, day after day, in its duty to inform and that it always fails in a right-wing direction. It desperately needs to recover its integrity

Ashamed that my country has supported this for so long. The evidence is undeniable and it's time for us to stop running cover for a genocide.

Polls aren't everything, but how long will Labour just keep doing the same right wing apologia without it moving polling in their favour *at all*? Will anyone within the party wake up a bit? This is more frustrating than the Tory years, because I had some hope last year.
Latest voting intention: Reform up at 9-point lead, Labour & Tories tied on 21 & 20. Meanwhile “Other” now at 5%

➡️ REF UK 30% (nc)
🌹 LAB 21% (-1)
🌳 CON 20% (-2)
🔶 LIB DEM 13% (nc)
🌍 GREEN 8% (+2)
🟡 SNP 3% (+1)
❓OTHER 5% (+1)

I was never a huge Starmer fan, so him being an authoritarian weirdo is frustrating but not surprising. Lammy has been a big disappointment.
This is actually diabolical. Plus wouldn't it be amazing if third sector charities, who work with real people every day, front line services, were given the opportunity to learn from inside govt. and civil servants were sent on secondment to us.

JK Rowling will not rest until she has eliminated trans people from the public sphere. I get furious when I remember pseudo-liberals insisting to me that she wasn’t a bigot and had been terribly defamed. Presumably they’ve got the message by now
The employee asked the girl and her mother if they needed help shopping. That’s it. That’s all. The misinformation, the insinuations (because the facts are inconveniently benign) are EXACTLY what was done to lesbians in the 80s. This is the product of hate and fear, not reality.

Legally, there isn't the slightest basis to the complaint, even on the most extreme possible interpretation of the Supreme Court judgement. A shop floor is not a single sex space, regardless of whether they sell bras or not. This is just hatred and spite, unleashed.
