Being the director of the FBI and releasing a couples podcast while a mass shooter is on the loose is a wild choice
lot of awful and insane stuff going on. but if you really want to have a brain bleed this holiday season don't lose sight of Stephen Miller's wife doing a video podcast with the FBI director and his gf about their love life

If a Democrat is running for a federal official and she or he doesn’t have a cogent analysis and an action plan with urgency on how to go about reforming and rebalancing this MAGA #SCOTUS then she or he is not running a serious campaign.
Yet another reason why I won’t support any Democrat who opposes eliminating the filibuster to reform the Supreme Court.
Trump’s henchmen are openly bragging to Republican donors how the MAGA #SCOTUS will help them win elections by ruling the Republican’s way on campaign finance contribution and redistricting cases.

Trumpers are counting on right wing judicial coup from Roberts.

Reckless, heartless, grifting Donald Trump is everything our Founding Fathers feared. Here's why I would still consider voting for him if he runs for an illegal third term.

The GOP has notably always understood this. It’s why they have never let the fact that their ideas are racist Nazi BS get in the way of executing them, and pretty much everyone has allowed it.
Jesus Christ, public opinion is not some static thing that has to be “respected” by politicians.

Politicians should work to shape it, to make the case for their priorities and positions, to win over voters to *their* ideas not convince voters that they agree with them.
This exchange drives me nuts. Neither the interviewer nor Bazelon acknowledges that 1) abortion rights are really popular! and 2) what ICE is doing is hugely unpopular!

Something every 2026/28 Dem should commit to is investigations of any company that did deals with Trump. A kind of forward guidance to get companies to think twice in advance of what’s coming.

Just FYI, “Move fast and break things” is the MO of every toddler, in case you were still thinking those tech bros have what they have because they’re smart. Silicon Valley strikes me as a place desperately in need of moms. In place of tech bros, to be clear, not to help them.

A thing that really preliminarily annoys the shit out of me is that in 5-10 years a bunch of serious ass books that promise “a more complex look” at all these fucking losers-a bunch of people who are deeply pathetic and know themselves to be so-are going to get written and talked about and I cannot.
