at this point, no matter the resolution, berman & nwsl owners have tarnished the league. we all knew this inflection point was coming and they still failed in the worst, most public way. i would pay to read the group chats of players everywhere discussing a league fighting a star’s $1m/yr contract.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

Let’s take one example. Jack Posobiec has access to the Oval Office and yesterday posted a message of approval for Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet.

I don’t just want Posobiec to go back into the shadows and use coded messages for his bigotry. I want him to feel the full weight of consequences.

I want them to face real consequences. I want the Nazis to hurt. I want every far-right extremist currently posting openly about their bigotry to never again know a moment’s peace.
there are more of us than there are of them and we will scare the nazis back into cover of darkness in my lifetime

It’s all transparently bullshit and immune to rationality, but if struggling to stabilize half a burning boat to avoid drowning is “getting back in the fight,” what they’re really saying is there’s nothing the survivors could have done to avoid being killed. And that definitely isn’t the law.

The fact that a second strike like that in an armed conflict is definitely a war crime should not completely negate the fact that *there is no war* and ALL the strikes are cold-blooded murder. The whole chain of command are murderers.

Perhaps Infantino can get Trump to agree to stop denying visas to competitors and using the games for ICE raids in return.

I can be so damn naive.

President Trump invited by FIFA to speak at the World Cup draw tomorrow upon receiving the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize. He has been allocated a couple of minutes in the running order but FIFA unlikely to stringently enforce that.

Shocking. I mean, I am shocked. I would never have guessed this. 🙄

It's almost as though the #NWSL is growing in profitability, and therefore can't be trusted to those dear little girls who liked to pretend they were profitability coaches.
We decided to specifically compare North American women to European men (ie. men born and raised in Europe with no previous women's coaching experience in North America). 2023 was a turning point for both demographics.

Can I just point out that if the #NWSL clubs are spanking the Euro clubs this way, there's truly no reason for the Euro clubs to be outspending the #NWSL except... well, naked, self-defeating greed on the part of the #NWSL owners.

Yeah, that was a question.
I finally tracked down a pair of datasets and put them together. This is Deloitte’s 2025 valuation of the wealthiest clubs in Europe, and Forbes’s 2025 valuation of NWSL.

Kansas City Current’s estimated annual revenue is bigger than Barcelona & Chelsea combined.

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

Agree with this thread. Worth reading in full.

25 years ago John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, and AC Barrett all worked on GWBush's 2000 Florida recount team. What they're doing now is, if anything, more nakedly partisan.

Fire-breathing dissent by Kagan, with Sotomayor and Jackson.
They're not even trying to appear nonpartisan anymore.
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

I'll post the ruling shortly.
