Every literary festival or theatre should condemn this, but as Sonia says, they won’t. They will cowardly disguise themselves by saying it’s “politics” and that they aren’t “political”. The storming of the National Theatre of Palestine is a crime not only on Palestinians, but on Palestinian art.
I can’t wait for PEN to comment on the Israeli intelligence forces storming the Palestinian National Theatre in Jerusalem and threatening the whole cast of the children’s performance and the audience if they didn’t leave in five minutes.

If you don't live in France, it's hard to really grasp how deeply islamophobic and racist its institutions still are, to this day. They're happy to let you work for them or to consume your cultural goods, but they don't like it when you're *too* arab.

Pretty interesting stuff! Notably this is testing the situation where people are shown the same information (ie the LLM provides web links as citations etc). It also looks at how original the subsequent synthesis is by the human participant.
Relying on ChatGPT to teach you about a topic leaves you with shallower knowledge than Googling and reading about it, according to new research that compared what more than 10,000 people knew after using one method or the other.

The difference between a Serious Person and a Ridiculous Conspiratorial Crank in the UK tends to be more of a function of how many sympathetic press contacts you have
These are people not just nasty but so *thick* they once accused a Northern Irish cat of sectarianism as he was correctly described as having orange fur! That alone should have rendered them a joke that no one gave any time to, but no, they got the Serious People treatment rather than Crank Contempt

Incredible really that people are being told a mere fortnight before the event that they have been picked to attend Your Party conference. Most people I know who have been selected cannot actually go, because it turns out train tickets & two weekend-nights in a hotel is prohibitively expensive
