Frequently glossobuccalic.

Knows just enough to be a danger to himself and others in a surprising number of areas.

I'm not overweight, I'm underheight.

"AI" is marketing hype, machine learning is the technology, copyright theft is the business model.

I complain about our local bus company, but this is insane. Driver doesn't know where he's going, so kidnaps the entire bus load of people and refuses to listen to his employers when the passengers get them on the phone.
I just woke up from a nap and somehow while I was asleep, everyone on the bus has figured out we are not going to the right place

I do find it absolutely fascinating that we spent years, decades even, in the grip of market research so acutely fine-tuned it was spotting when someone was pregnant before even they knew, and now they're sledgehammering things we don't want into our lives and telling us to like it

I dreamed that I went to check the news but the news had been blacked out and replaced with a large, bold, flashing sign that said "OH NO."

Which really does sum up the past few weeks of news!

Interesting way to show LLMs are not thinking like humans. Like, a 5 year old might do a lot of stupid stuff, but not this kind of error, where it's drawn something that is solution-like but clearly nonsensical.

The Royal Irish Academy is committed to creating, convening, and sharing knowledge for the public good and as an organisation we value Independence; Integrity; Curiosity; Openness and Rigour.

In our view, X no longer aligns with these values

Sign of the times: I've been notified that my house insurance will need changing because Munich Re is getting out of the market.

I.e. the world's largest reinsurer thinks home insurance is too risky, presumably because of climate change.

'Classic. Planning some fly-bys with a few of the boys, but we'll only land one at a time.'
