It is objectively perfect that people are posting about MTV going off the air forever last night instead of turning on the television and noticing that it did not.

The next Democratic president needs to be prepared to do this immediately in re: every single one of Trump's executive orders since January 20, 2025.
I was wondering what Mamdani's first executive order would be, and I'm not disappointed by this.

He has wiped off the books EVERY Eric Adams executive order issued on or after September 26, 2024, the day Adams was indicted on federal bribery charges.

let's - and I cannot fucking say this enough - fucking go
Mayor Mamdani has nullified every executive order issued by Eric Adams after he struck his corrupt bargain with Trump to secure dismissal of the indictment against him.

When you get the reputation of being the guy with the encouraging words on New Year's Eve, it can start to come through as a little pressure -- what if the situation on the ground is worse than usual? what if people are more scared than they usually are, and with cause? what use are good vibes then?

in the ongoing “wow these sure are some takes, huh?” sweepstakes, I love it when people who ‘love’ a romance about gay hockey players who are closeted in large part due to homophobic perceptions that being gay is fundamentally incompatible with their interests & careers reinforce that exact message

A shithoused Ryan Seacrest in the Times Square Olive Garden: folks, no matter how you spin it, sure feels like we live in a fake country. Just racism and hamburger. You are not here, and you are not family. Throw it to a commercial for a drug you can’t pronounce or afford

It's nuts to see this very sweet obituary describe him as just a nice blue-collar uncle. Did they even know he was a golden-age-of-twitter all-timer? Makes you wonder how many undiscovered comedy greats are out there working 7 to 6 shifts at furniture companies

UPDATE: We may see the first time English is displaced as the most popular language among Bluesky posters as soon as Americans head to sleep tonight.

Japanese users were close to achieving that feat at 7 am Eastern Time, and their activity is increasing at an exponential pace. This is remarkable.

We had a ford windstar growing up and honestly comparing how easy it was to pile four kids and their various activity gear into that car vs watching my brother try do the same in a crossover with only two kids really highlights the minivan superiority to me as a family car.
we rented a chrysler pacifica for our trip down to see my folks after christmas and i now totally get why people like minivans. this thing rules.
