My dear friend and colleague Comptroller Brad Lander was just violently detained by masked ICE officers while escorting folks out of immigration court. This is disgusting and horrific. He must be released immediately.

While escorting a defendant out of immigration court at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked agents and detained by ICE.

this has been a common theme with this administration in every negotiation, not just trade negotiations; they can't articulate what they want, they constantly move the goalposts, they're unreliable and unprofessional. it will have a lot of negative consequences, both for them and for us.

UPDATE: ICE is wildly unconcerned about where this man is and no one will tell me, his registered attorney. The universal answer so far is "let's wait and see where he ends up." This is deeply off.

I then received this notice of activity on a nonexistent docket in which his name was changed to "N/A"
