Note that the fascist is not using the pepper spray for crowd control. He is entering a vehicle unimpeded to depart. He is simply using the pepper spray to physically punish an unarmed citizen he doesn't like.
Big clash this afternoon between DHS agents and protesters in a residential street in Minneapolis, following a DHS agent hitting another vehicle. Tear gas was deployed in people’s yards and agents pepper prayed people.

I never liked all the Jake Tapper hate after his book on Biden came out. He’s a good journalist that takes the job seriously.
Tapper did a great job here. Combining footage with follow up questions that directly debunk her lies, outright calling her claim not true, and highlighting her hypocrisy is how it’s done.

Noem went propaganda robot mode in her answer, but CNN viewers saw the truth upheld clearly.
Tapper to Noem: "I just showed you video of people attacking law enforcement officers on J6. Trump pardoned them all. You said Trump is enforcing all the laws equally. That's just not true. There's a different standard for LEOs being attacked if they're being attacked by Trump supporters."

This right here is why people don’t respect the police anymore. No introspection behind the blue line.

Also, even if they felt this way, there’s absolutely zero reason to broadcast this. They want it publicly known they support violence by their members.
The MPD union, at least, has made it clear which side they are on.

This is the cost of DECADES of (everyone, everywhere) refusing to deal with the rising right-wing and white-nationalist involvement in policing.

There's a reason Jonathan Ross's first priority was his cell phone and his second was the handgun he used to murder a woman. The social media sizzle reel is all that matters to them.

WSJ investigation: In the past 6 months ICE agents have fired at vehicles 13 times, leading to:

* 8 people shot
* 5 of which were U.S. citizens
* 2 died
* no victims drew a weapon

The playbook: Agents box in a vehicle, block attempts to flee, then fire

A WSJ visual investigation found that the Minneapolis ICE killing is one of 13 incidents where federal immigration agents have used deadly force against civilians in vehicles since July.

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

There is no argument for Republicans to control either house of congress any more unless what you’re after is a rubber stamp politburo for whatever our racist, sundowning commander in chief wants at any given moment.
This is truly terrible. House GOP voted unanimously to approve these two mundane bills. But after Trump vetoed them out of personal pique, the GOP immediately falls in line and votes against overriding the veto.

Just a pack of cowards.

House fails to override Trump's vetoes of two Republican bills
The pair of bills was not seen as controversial and passed the House and Senate unanimously. But President Donald Trump's vetoes carried signs of political disagreements.

Underreported is how much the Trump admin is encouraging these public ICE clashes- putting people with weapons into situations they do not need to be in to do their jobs- simply in order to produce social media content.

An administration that pardons insurrectionists and tells members of Congress that it's unacceptable to say soldiers can refuse to obey illegal orders
The Pentagon will cut the military retirement pay of Sen. Mark Kelly for what Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the Arizona Democrat’s “seditious” statements on a video telling service members they have the right to refuse to execute illegal orders.

Probably unlikely but… what happens if Maduro is acquitted?
Clinton appointee Judge Alvin Hellerstein has Maduro’s case. Last spring, he barred the Trump admin from removing Venezuelans from the US under the Alien Enemies Act, which he said had been applied unlawfully

“These people are being thrown out of the country because of tattoos”
Happening now: From the bench, Judge Alvin Hellerstein indicates he’ll extend a TRO barring removals of Venezuelans detained in SDNY under the Alien Enemies Act. Detailing horrific conditions at CECOT, he partly cited the likelihood of irreparable harm.

“What way is that to treat a (human) being?”

Allow me to connect some dots for you:

Too much of the world currently relies for its basic functions on resources which must be continuously extracted. You burn that oil one time and oops, now you need more.

Geopolitical horrors are, in fact, one of the reasons we need to move to renewables ASAP.

The Trump admin has fused the war on terror with the war on drugs to create a framework for justifying its own acts everywhere from Chicago to Caracas.

Remember the helicopter raid on a Chicago apartment building? A key rationale was to go after the Venezuelan TdA.*

Same with Caracas raid.
