the best way to get out of an extrinsic game that you find yourself still playing despite disliking is to just force yourself to miss an event in-game. if you're the completionist type it's an extremely fast way to sever yourself from it

its been a bit funny as the years go on to see more and more people realize nintendo is kinda just very much patriarchaly motivated in their stories, like it gets hard to ignore especially nowadays that they come clean about it, but whoever John Nintendo is in a given time is always very patriarchal
