The creation of CSAM on X is unrelated to whether children use the site or not. So what Badenoch appears to be arguing is that only adults should be allowed to look at CSAM. She’s also implying that that it’s rather judgy and illiberal of the govt to “not like” a CSAM generator

On the subject of BBC bias, I’d just say that I’m pretty sure they haven’t had the same kind of conversation with regular contributor Sharron Davies that they’ve had with Robin outlined below.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

This Government once vowed to be “the most nature-positive [we have] ever had”.

Months of blaming wildlife and stripping back protections have already made a mockery of that promise.

And if the rumoured cuts to BNG go ahead, it will deal yet another devastating blow to nature.

I love when new members of the literal legislative branch question the fitness of the judiciary for ideological reasons! Really makes me think the country is functioning excellently!
It’s this sort of legal insight and grasp of issues GCs are dragging innocent trans people through the courts for that grants you a place in the House of Lords these days!

A large part of the issue in the discussion of trans rights in the UK has been caused by journalists, like Pippa here, incorrectly categorising people as “women’s rights activists” when they have done nothing to aid or support women’s rights, and are simply anti-trans bigots. Stop legitimising them.
Lib Dems announce 5 peers including ex-MP Sarah Teather, Tories announce 3 including Olympic swimmer/ women's rights activist Sharon Davies, historian Simon Heffer and former cabinet minister John Redwood. Reform UK don't get any.

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’
This is so disgusting.

The “Labour” Party finds itself arguing ordinary workers, carers and others are “takers”.
Hey everyone, here's the news, if you aren't a high earner, entrepreneur or a "skilled frontline worker" (whatever the fuck that means) the "Labour" Party says you aren't contributing, you're a taker!
This is so disgusting.

It tells women and girls that their own choices, their own friendships and their own beliefs come secondary to the whims of JK Rowling, Graham Linehan, the British media, the Government, and whichever bigot they’ve chosen to run the EHRC this year. It tells non-bigots that they don’t matter.

Given that the majority of the membership & leadership of the Girl Guides & the Women’s Institute were in favour of trans inclusion, JK Rowling is wrong to say this decision tells girls they have the right to say “no”. It actually tells that them saying “yes”, their own decision, will be ignored.
But what if the "thing of their own" is a friendship with a girl in Guides who happens to be trans?

I honestly think Rowling has lost touch with how real people's lives actually work.

And, also, Rowling's movement is gearing up to get girls kicked out of Scouts, so this "answer" is horseshit.

The irony is, PIP is *supposed* to help us to lead a more "normal" life. Being disabled in an ableist society has a financial burden. PIP is intended to alleviate that.

But the moment it shows any sign of working they try to take it away because "you're not suffering enough."
If I was on PIP, I would be worried that every single "good" day would be used to push me into poverty. I would probably never leave my home. I suppose, really, that's half the point.
