This is a pretty stunning admission, he doesn't appear to know how group insurance works. Toyota/GM don't buy insurance, employers of that size are self-funded. They pay United or Aetna for admin services, but they pay for the actual health care themselves (with some catastrophic/stop-loss coverage)

Forty four million is a big group, but maybe we can go bigger. What if...this might sound crazy but hear me out... we put together a group of THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY million people who all collectively bought a group plan? Maybe they could drive prices down even more.
