Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

Trump exempting computers & phones from the tariffs today means that Chinese-made laptops now have lower tariffs than European Cars, Mexican Steel, & Canadian Lumber.

Also means Vietnamese-made laptops have a lower tariff than Ethiopian coffee, Indian tea, & Guatemalan bananas

Ces pressions à l'égard de bénévoles sont extrêmement graves et totalement inadmissibles.
« Bonjour, J'ai récemment contribué à l'article sur le journal Le Point, qui a adopté depuis quelques années une ligne climato-sceptique bien visible et largement documentée, mais qui n'était pas encore indiquée dans la page, ce qui est désormais chose faite, source à l'appui. J'ai très rapidement reçu sur mon adresse personnelle deux e-mails extrêmement menaçants du journaliste Erwan Seznec (auteur de Les illusionnistes du climat, donc il s'est peut-être senti visé), affirmant « Nous allons faire un article sur vous, sur notre site, en donnant votre identité, votre fonction, en sollicitant une réaction officielle de [mon ex-employeur] » assorti d'un ultimatum de 48h. Je m'inquiète car je ne pense pas que ma biographie suffise à nourrir un article intéressant dans leur journal.
