The @manchestermill.bsky.social keeps demonstrating why it is so important to have a truly local paper. They really do feel like they are a part of Manchester, not "reporting" on it from somewhere else! They're doing a cool special right now, where you can pay what you like for two months!
Join The Mill - Quality journalism for Greater Manchester

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

Since my decision to stop posting to X/Twitter, and restarting here, the project has lost 2k+ followers.

It’s disheartening, but the project is 10yrs old this year, and I hope it’ll be around for 10 more.

To those who have stuck with us, and to those new to the project, thank you.

We can rebuild.

Sometimes I see something on here that I don't understand or where someone says or does something I think is really stupid.
Then I think I must be missing something
Then I wonder if I should reply or if it's a joke I don't get.
Then I shrug & move on because I just don't care that much really

An important life skill to develop is the ability to not have an opinion on a thing.

This is because there are many things which it is not necessary for you to have an opinion on.

A related skill is recognizing that the list of things on which an opinion is required is different for everyone.

Rosalind Franklin’s lab book.
