In filing a claim against the BBC he probably won’t win, Donald Trump is trying to exert leverage so the broadcaster’s executives capitulate, writes @davidallengreen.bsky.social.

This is wonderful! Its a chance to put a smile on the face of these children that have had so much taken from them. It can also show their parents at home and fighting on the front, that we care and support them ❤️
So there’s a website called Deer Of St Nicholas which posts Christmas wish letters from Ukrainian children who had their childhood stolen by the war, anyone can pick a child and get them their present and it’s that time of the year again to achingly scroll it for hours again

These strikes on boats in the Carribean are normalising the claim from the US Right that it is acceptable for a President to deploy American military units as extrajudicial death squads
There is no conceivable argument that these ships, even if we assume they were carrying narcotics, could not be dealt with in some other way. I think we can just drop the caveats and say: This is mass murder.
Unless and until some kind of compelling legal and moral argument is presented as to why this is a legitimate use of deadly force, this is just…mass murder.

This how the framing is going.

That a president has no power in the US constitution to do a thing is now being recast as the president having “no explicit power”.

Subtle, devious, dangerous, treacherous shift.

Sad and bad to see NYT adopting this spin on a headline.
This “explicit” is a weird editorial choice. The constitution gives the president no power over this at all. It’s not ambiguous.

Trump 2028 isn’t a joke. Donald Trump doesn’t believe the rules apply to him, and he’ll do anything in his power to hijack a 3rd term.

Wake up, America. You will not have a country if Trump rigs this election.

I disagree that Europe had 'no other choice' but to sign the 🇪🇺🇺🇸 🇬🇧🇺🇸 surrender deals with Trump.

But even if this were true, how can Europeans be content with such a situation?

This continent needs an independence revolution. Here's how to get there:
An eight-point plan to free Europe from American dominance
A world where Europeans don't have to call Trump "daddy" is possible, but it requires urgent and confident action. Here's how we get there.
