I’m not sure “there’s nothing we can do about the sexual abuse image factory ask OfCom” is going to hold much water as a line taken by a government which (a) has a huge majority (b) just passed legislation to regulate what people can access online

I first met Gerry when I was 16 and volunteered for Searchlight. Completely committed, enormously knowledgeable about the far Right, and open to work with any serious anti-fascists. I learned a lot from him.

It is with the greatest sadness that we have to announce that Searchlight’s founder, Gerry Gable, has died at the age of 88. He had been in frail health for some time, but a recent hospital admission proved too much and he died peacefully last night.

With Maduro in custody the big questions are what now and what are the consequences? Trump made it clear this is about oil and that the U.S. will “run” Venezuela. I worry he has no idea the implications of this operation and that puts Americans and our national security at risk.

A big part of that "failure to recognize" by voters directly stems from the mainstream media's dereliction of duty for the last decade or so. However, I have a harder time believing politicians were somehow unclear on what he as about.
