Gov. Walz to MS NOW:

"Two days ago it was Elissa Slotkin. Last week it was Jerome Powell. Before that, Mark Kelly. Weaponizing the justice system … is a dangerous, authoritarian tactic.

"The only person not being investigated for the shooting of Renee Good is the federal agent who shot her."

This could be the unified Dem position. It is wildly popular. Puts the regime on defense on two fronts at the same time. Good policy, good politics.
The Congressional Progressive Caucus, a group of nearly 100 House Democrats, will announce later today that it's formally endorsing legislation to strip $175 billion from ICE and put it toward affordable housing. www.huffpost.com/entry/doj-fe...

This is the second time in less than two weeks that Tucker Carlson - an extremist who promotes antisemitism, white nationalism, and idiotic anti-government conspiracy theories - has been welcomed in Trump’s White House.

The abolitionist movement was attacked for the prevalence of white women among their ranks (and had some vicious internal fights about whether to include or exclude them from abolitionist organizing).
Demonizing specifically white women who act in solidarity with racial minorities isn’t new. Here’s a southern political cartoon depicting Harriet Beecher Stowe, published in 1853. Surrounded by devils, she‘s holding a book titled “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” Subtitle: “I Love the Blacks.”

I truly believe Trump is obsessed with the Nobel Peace Prize because President Obama won it in 2009. Trump would never win it on merit so he did the next best thing, bully and intimidate people into giving him one and destroying the credibility of the award in the process.

on top of which, there is *one weird trick* to figuring out if the republican party wants to extend the franchise to a group of people
Small peeve: Punditry (or GOP boosterism) that pretends Greenland would be the 51st state.

Of course it wouldn't. We bought the Virgin Islands from Denmark a century ago. More than 2x the population of Greenland. It's a territory, and its citizens don't have voting DC reps. Neither would Greenland.

I feel pretty misunderstood by people living in rural areas, and yet mysteriously, this isn’t considered a problem.

I’m sick of putting up with this idiotic display of obeisance to chucklefucks simply because they live in rural areas.
Republicans control all 3 branches of government. Even when they don't, both parties pump out constant rhetoric about "real Americans" living in rural areas.

The entire premise of this article is a conservative-fluffing myth. Cities have more political power because that's where most people live!

Guess what, they never cared about individual rights or had a problem with state violence. It just depends on who's on the receiving end.
