If I'm the dems, I think I come out of this knowing that there's support amongst at least the GOP senate for normalizing the approps process and reigning in Vought. That's basically what we got out of this.

I tend to think that this here is an underrated "could get interesting" in the house. Launching torpedos into big industries that have pull in specific districts can get dangerous for bills passing.

I am JUST old enough to have caught a taste of the Before Times as a young adult, and yeah, I have pretty much universally found that under-30 LGBTs *literally do not believe you* when you tell them how significant the turnaround has been, and HOLY HELL does it leave me frustrated at times.
