It's impossible to comply with these goons, they tell her to go, she starts to go....and then the guy runs up and smashes the window and they all surround her and drag her out. Criminals doing carjackings are more organized than this
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

BREAKING: ICE agents in Minneapolis violently detained and arrested a U.S. citizen for one reason only: he refused to prove his citizenship.

No crime. No warrant. No probable cause.

That first photo is a gut punch. A bunch of heavily armed goons too scared to show their faces bullying a scared kid with the full force of the federal government behind them.
A teenage boy was walking home in Minneapolis yesterday when four masked men jumped out of a van & questioned him - with no parent or guardian present.

He was bundled into the van & taken away.

Bystanders heard the boy say: “Can I just go home?”

I don’t know how America comes back from all this.

Really interesting how ICE agents always target women and children, isn't it

Like ICE is kidnapping people off the streets and most of those running for local office are like "idk, vote for my vibes?"

Shocked, shocked folks don't have faith in the hallowed halls of local democracy or whatever line they're spinning this time. #avlnews

From experience: any city council candidate that runs with no platform and a vague promise to "listen" will side with the status quo.

So will most of those who have platforms, ofc, but the degree to which Asheville candidates don't even bother to mention what they will/won't do is notable. #avlnews

This is why they mask. It isn’t about safety. It’s because they know that if decent people learn what they do, they’ll be social outcasts.

ICE just broke a woman’s windows and yanked her out of her car at Park and 34 in Minneapolis. This is after a crowd gathered while ICE raided a home.

Sam Alito's repeated, sneering "what is a woman, oh can anyone just claim to be a woman" questions at this Supreme Court oral argument suggest that his brain is, if possible, even more pickled in right-wing media than I thought

well you're a bigot I can tell you that for free

Gen X is at +5 support for ICE while millennials are at -25.

Is this at all related to the United States banning lead paint in houses in 1978?
Some interesting stuff in the cross-tabs.

Tomorrow, there will be oral arguments in a major SCOTUS case on transgender sports.

At least, that's how it's being reported everywhere.

But it's not just about sports. The ruling could change transgender rights for a generation, and impacts EVERYTHING.

Tomorrow's SCOTUS Case Is Not Just About Transgender Sports; Ruling Could Impact All Trans Rights
Though much of the reporting on the Little v. Hecox court case is about transgender sports participation, the SCOTUS ruling could impact all rights of transgender people.

Trent: No, I think they are talking about the regime that is shooting people in the face

Word to the wise: even if you aren't in a city under direct attack yet, you want to be developing these sorts of relationships NOW with sympathetic folks at local institutions.

You want to have those numbers in your phone ready for when you have to send exactly these sorts of texts.
Absolutely insane that my life has become texting with local church pastors to try and find a safe place to hold an emergency meeting for parents at my kid’s’ preschool to figure out how to respond to the federal government kidnapping neighbors.

everyone i know in minneapolis is seeing ICE take people—at gas stations, taquerias, bus stops, schools. just snatching random people.

This. The evidence for future prosecutions is being created today.
Data created during times of human rights violations can be used to prove command responsibility: that those at the very top are responsible for the actions of the agents carrying out their orders.
