Maxed out credit cards. Overdue rent. The looming threat of closure.

I spent time at an LA car wash that has been battered by ICE raids to show how American businesses that depend on immigrant labor are fairing under Trump.

This L.A. car wash depends on immigrant labor. Can it survive Trump?
The car wash industry, emblematic of California's highway culture, has long depended on immigrant labor. It's been hit hard by President Trump's deportation campaign.

Such petty juvenile clown ass behavior.
The White House pardons of last year’s turkeys, Peach and Blossom, declared "null and void” because then-President Biden used an autopen, says President Trump (adding the two birds were then sent on their way to “processing” but he’s now issued a valid pardon for them).

What an incredible piece of reporting from my former colleague @lajourno.bsky.social, who spent months reporting how the state has under-investigated children working in harsh conditions in fields across California. Spend the time to read and hear from the children.

State officials are failing to protect the health and safety of thousands of young field laborers, an investigation has found.

ten months into this presidency and hundreds of court cases later, it would be good to see one (1) regime attorney held to account by the courts
In other words, the grand jury rejected all 3 counts on the indictment. Period.

So all we have is a fake indictment signed by the foreman but never presented to the GJ, plus some quite spectacularly irrelevant hearsay about what the GJ *would* have done if it had been given only 2 and 3.

I literally just had my yearly check-in and recertification in October. I am disabled, can't work, and am on SSI. I can't afford my medically mandated diet without SNAP, and reapplying is a lot of work, which is made harder by my disability and poor health. This is maddening.
