@therestpolitics.bsky.social what do you think of @scaramucci.bsky.social and @kattybkay.bsky.social naming Farage and Levitt as their ‘surprising stars of the year?’ There’s no mention of the lack of ethics, professionalism and integrity displayed by both these ‘stars’. What’s your view?

It’s astonishing that countries that have benefitted so much from the #EU - #Hungary, #Slovakia and the #Czech Republic - and who suffered under the control of the USSR, seem quite happy to let the Russians destroy their beneficiary. Are their leaders on the #Putin payroll?

BACK TO BASICS: Ukraine was invaded by Russia. Russia is the bad guy, the aggressor and should not be rewarded. Ukraine did not have to, but they gave up their nukes, we should honor that as a nation. In the beginning everyone was sure Ukraine would fall. It hasn’t. We need Ukraine as a strong ally.

So, Farage who’d previously failed 7 times to be an MP, decided that in Clacton he’d rely on his old Brexit friends - cheating (and racism) - to get him his win.
With millions now pouring into Reform, it’s beyond time to properly investigate this grubby little man

It's a mark of our moral disintegration that there's even a discussion about Ukraine giving up land. To even countenance it is to reward colonialism.

Trump didnt like the way a historian described him on BBC as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” So Trump threatened to sue.
Now the BBC has overcorrected—the line has been cut.
Not great that they caved

Trump Angrily Threatened to Sue BBC. Then Things Took a Darker Turn.
First, British Broadcasting Corporation execs resigned after Trump complained about a segment. Now the BBC edited out a line from a historian that was critical of Trump. Where does this end?

Nothing shocks me these days but having just visited the South Vietnam coast, I was disgusted by the sight of hordes of overfed Russians enjoying life while their less fortunate countrymen are forced to murder Ukrainians or dying in 🇺🇦. No cares and no morals.
