The party when it finally happens is going to make Thatcher's death look like World Seagrass Day.

Rob Reiner was a genius and, moreover, a thoroughly good man.

(No offence intended to seagrass.)

He’s laundered a genocide. He demonises desperate people seeking asylum. He panders to Reform at the expense of people of colour. He’s implementing transphobic policies. He cuts benefits for disabled people. “Inoffensive”? He’s deeply offensive if you are affected by any of this (Lewis isn’t)
How can this inoffensive man have become so viscerally loathed?

It's a wicked world and a pretty beat up Britain but one good news story is how fast UK electricity has decarbonised. As recently as 2013 coal was the main source of electricity supply, now there is no more coal, and fossil fuels are just 29% over the last year.

You have no idea how many people this past ten years replied to me on this here social media, saying things like “LOL everything you don’t like is racist or fascist, isn’t it”. And, well, look at the state of it all now.
It’s not him being a teenage Nazi that’s the issue here: it’s that he’s still one now, he has been throughout and his politics are those of the racist, fascist far right. The difference between him and e.g. Griffin is that Farage knows where the line is and that he should push at it, not cross it.

The baffling stupidity of these people really is amazing. LGBT+ isnt a fancy acronym for gay people. It's groups of people who were lumped together due to the same hatred and societal oppression.
People like this mug deserve to feel the full weight of the fear they put on minoritised people.
The false equivalence of trans ideology with the earlier gay rights movement lies at the heart of the problem, not least for gay people as well as women. I'm happy to see some sense returning to the debate, although yesterday's judgement and your comment shows there's still distance to travel.

The lads realised in 2018/19 they can get whatever they want by all roaring the same key lines into microphones over and over, regardless of what’s happening. It’s what gave us Johnson *and* got rid of him; it gave us Sir Keir and - having discovered this superpower - they will not give it up.
Radio 4 and BBC and Channel 4 News and all the papers completely skewing the Peggie story so your average person will have no idea what actually happened. Doesn’t this make you furious? Integrity in journalism is dead, not just in the US

But almost all Western media outlets suppressed this.
