So Google's latest consent violation is them generating "AI" audio of your voice in YouTube as an opt-out "service."

Here's how to turn it off (original images reposted with alt text):

Absolutely right. Nobody should be supporting JK Rowling, who is now taking an active role in the UK government and spearheading the systemic torment of the very kids who once would have loved her books. Shameful.
This is evil and awful and trans people everywhere deserve better than what's happening right now.

And I think it's impossible to overtstate the pivotal role that JK Rowling played in mainstreaming hateful and false ideas about trans people. Every dollar you give her goes toward efforts like this.
The U.K. Supreme Court rules that Britain's equalities law defines a woman as someone born biologically female. The ruling means a transgender person with a certificate that recognizes them as female should not be considered a woman for equality purposes.

My brain literally cannot comprehend all of the bad stuff that just happened today so instead: scholastic book fair now has online wallets that you can use for your kiddos at the book fair- but also, you can donate to “share the fair” so others w/o can get books.

I didn't/couldn't use real cosplayers on the cover, but the girl putting her fists up at the front was a tribute to the kid who was the first Ms Marvel cosplayer I saw at a con, and when I asked if I could take a photo, she did this pose. Her dad said that's the one she had decided on herself.
5 years ago I did a cover for @gwillow.me's last issue of Ms. Marvel. I used it as a chance to pay tribute to what Kamala had done in Willow and collaborators' hands over the run, as well as give a nod to the many excellent cosplayers who wore my design from almost the day she was revealed.

Oh yeah. "There was such a fuss about Y2K, and in the end nothing happened."
