With some good lessons from watching the New Game WR run (specifically the bosses), I made some great strides tonight. Had some rough grinds and a couple deaths against a later boss, but it still worked out and I got a sub 3:40:00! Still a lot of potential and more to learn. Next goal: sub-3:35:00.

With some good lessons from watching the New Game WR run (specifically the bosses), I made some great strides tonight. Had some rough grinds and a couple deaths against a later boss, but it still worked out and I got a sub 3:40:00! Still a lot of potential and more to learn. Next goal: sub-3:35:00.

Tested the S-Video feature of theTurbonanza I installed in my PC Engine Duo R. Wow, the colors are so much more saturated on the RGB output (from my understanding, PCE/TG-16 uses special encoding in the composite and S-Video for greater color resolution, which is not on the RGB mod's output).

Good PB tonight with original hardware and 6-button controller (Hori Fighting Commander PC). I had a couple deaths to Bami that gave about 5 min of time loss (was playing it risky by not having an herb for the fight). Happy with the amount of gold in this one, next goal is sub-3:40:00.

The idea that autistic people lack empathy is still depressingly prevalent, partly because people conflate 'caring about other humans' wellbeing & wanting them to be happy' with 'reliably able to infer a stranger's motivation & emotional state based off observing a few external nonverbal clues'.

I completed a New Game run of Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys on my PC Engine Duo R on an authentic copy last night. Unlike NG+, the exp is not doubled, so harder bosses. The goals were to see what the load times are on real hardware and complete the game so I can play NG+ on this system. Both achieved!

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.
