The Trump regime are not patriots.

Patriots love the American people, respect the rights of their fellow Americans, and believe all deserve freedom and dignity.

The Trump regime hates America, our freedoms, our constitution and our people.

They’re fucking fascists.

L.A. Metro, the main transit operator for Los Angeles, just voted to oppose SB 79, a law legalizing the construction of housing near stations. You can't make this stuff up. Legislators should remember this the next time they come to Sacramento begging for more money.

The chaos in the Twin Cities and the antics over Greenland notwithstanding, most everyday Americans have not yet seen a measurable interruption in the routines of their lives. They still largely go to work or school. There hasn't been a 1929-style stock market collapse. We're not in a world war.

Democrats could act like a real opposition party, refusing to validate Trump malfeasance with votes, and setting up a shadow cabinet that regularly communicates how Democrats would be different. But nah.

It’s not only a majority of Democratic voters that hate this approach. US allies see it too.
The incredibly lukewarm Democratic response on Greenland is being noticed in Europe, incidentally.

Chuck Schumer not finding a stronger word than “quixotic” for Trump’s plan to seize Greenland has been name checked to me more than once.
But Americans who want to save the alliance with Europe must have no illusions about how bad a condition this transatlantic partnership is in.

It would be funny, if it wasn’t so infuriating, that this is the second time people have elected Donald Trump and then almost immediately been like “wait what the fuck we hate this guy”
Trump’s net job approval rating right now is actually lower than it was at this point in his first term

I don't think most Americans know this:

"[Denmark] lost more soldiers per capita than the U.S. did in Afghanistan". (in fact, the most of any).

Why? Because, Denmark as a loyal ally, came to the aid of the U.S.

Now, the U.S. wants to invade Danish territory.

Treaties are federal law. As a signatory to the 1949 NATO treaty, the U.S. is barred by law from attacking another NATO member. Therefore, an order to draw up plans to attack Greenland is an illegal one. Military leaders are obligated to disobey illegal orders.

Lawyers correct me if I'm wrong.
Cool, cool.

"According to sources, Trump has asked Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) to prepare the invasion plan, but it is being resisted by the joint chiefs of staff on the grounds that it would be illegal - and not be supported by Congress."
