Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

I think about the consistently misunderstood case of the Luddites. They were extremely advanced machine users (go try to use a spinning Jenny!), but they recognized a technological regime that displaced expertise (and payment) from the artisan to the tool.

I hope Ireland does take its defense seriously. The US’s current behavior should be a wake up call that every country can’t entirely rely on another state’s defense umbrella. It is not good for Ireland to be a playground for foreign power.

I suspect a party platform of 1) turning back every Trump action and policy, 2) arresting every employee of ICE for involvement in or abetting of crimes against humanity, would do very well.
