Liverpool FC announced it will pay the two remaining years of Diogo Jota’s contract in the amount of £14.5 million to his wife and their three children.

People are deserting the NYT in droves. That's good!
But, absent another alternative, they will just start getting news from another capitalist, profit-driven media outlet. That's bad!
We need to give these disillusioned people a better source for news. And that can be a party publication.

the thing about "we could solve car crashes with AI" is that we could also largely solve car crashes without AI (as many other peer countries have) we just choose not to because we're okay with a mid-five-figures death count to avoid providing public transit or walkable communities.

It's really incredible to me how in the last two decades we've lived through 2 foreverwars, a pandemic, multiple ethnic cleansings and attempted genocides, and the worsening of climate collapse and we're supposed to suck it up and go to work and shop and act like none of it affects us
