So people demand "AI" sycophancy, refuse to interact w/ *less* sycophantic "AI", & then get increasingly ill-disposed toward interacting w/ other human beings, preferring, again, an "AI" system that is actively locking them into a loop of skills dependency, bias confirmation, & hostility.

Some of these are fun and comical, conveying the attitudes of developers, but -all- of them convey aspects of the game world and say things about the spaces where they're encountered. When your game has an ambient detail that's a magazine titled GREED, that says something very specific.
I'm concerned that one thing game companies will use genAI for is populating background details like fake magazines, store shelf products, and book covers. This is what they're trying to take from us. This is what's at stake. (Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines, Dead Rising, and Plastic Battlegrounds VR)

Actually, it’s kind of diabolical the way they’ve defined “hoarding” as NOT acquiring new things.
If a phone still works fine, it’s not “device hoarding” to keep using it. It’s common sense.

1. Triforce pattern on Zelda's tunic.
2. Link's green tunic is frayed and very simply sown together. Even the threads used in the weaving of the fabric are not even shades of green. Also Link has a necklace? I see the hemp string.
Costume design already telling a story. I like it!

Everyone loves to mention Satoru Iwata taking a pay cut in the Wii U era, but the best thing he did at Nintendo was tell investors “I sincerely doubt that employees who fear that they may be laid off will be able to develop software titles that could impress people around the world.”
Layoffs wreck studios. Institutional knowledge is SO valuable in the games industry. When you eventually replace that laid off employee, I don’t care if they’ve got 30 years of experience and dozens of games under their belt. They still have to learn the pipeline, the software, the systems.

In 2004 (the episode aired in 2005) I was an animator on the Simpsons episode 'There's Something About Marrying,' where Springfield legalizes gay marriage, and I remember when it aired news articles asking, "As goes the Simpsons, so too goes America?" and being so proud to have been a part of that
Obergefell v. Hodges made me believe in the whole "arc of history bends towards justice." In the 90s, I didn't think gay marriage would be legalized in my lifetime because homophobia was so deeply ingrained. We would have never gotten here without the decision and now it may be overturned.
