I would just like to remind everyone that the Senate's role in "advise and consent" is Constitutionally enshrined and it is pretty clear that not a single nominee Trump has put forward is competent and for ... symbolic reasons? ... Senate Democrats cannot stop giving cover to these people.

To be honest, the president shouldn't have a pardon power to begin with, as it breeds corruption.
But that - like so many other problematic issues in modern America (gun violence! the electoral college! supreme court lifetime appointments!) - requires amending the Constitution.
